HAPPY HENS
Über das Motiv
A joyful composition full of characterful hens and roosters in black-and-white speckled plumage — each bird seems to have its own personality and struts proudly across a cream background. The pattern is kept in a palette of black, white, and creamy beige, brought to life by striking red combs and wattles. Small botanical motifs appear among the birds — twigs, wildflowers, and eggs — giving the composition a rustic, storybook character. The illustration style references Scandinavian folk graphics: simplified, full of humor and warm naivety.
